Alejandro Serrano creates a version of Pistola's new sandwich

The temple of the sandwich now boasts a new culinary creation by the youngest chef to earn a Michelin star. Alejandro Serrano, who runs his own eponymous restaurant AS and has collaborated with brands of the caliber of Loewe and Raban, has designed the new 'Pistola Rosa' (Pink Pistol) inspired by his iconic pink potato salad.

Alejandro offers an artistic reinterpretation of one of his signature dishes: a sandwich with sweet hints of beetroot, quail egg, and piparras peppers, accompanied by a silky trio of mayonnaises: tuna, extra virgin olive oil, and beetroot. The special edition is represented by its color palette, which revolves around pink, the color he uses to sweeten his culinary universe.

“Many of the dishes in my restaurant are pink, evoking happy moments. In this case, for Pistola Rosa, we are going to take an iconic dish from the restaurant, the pink potato salad, and give it a twist to create an exceptional sandwich with which we want to spread peace and freedom,” explains the chef.

"Since opening last September at number 1 Calle Dos de Mayo in the Malasaña neighborhood of Madrid, Pistola has championed the sandwich as an emblem of Madrid culture and a perfect canvas for exploring new flavor combinations. The collaboration with chef Alejandro Serrano reinforces this vision, bringing a fun and genuine approach that reinterprets these classics for today's audience."

Alejandro Serrano's 'Pink Pistol' will be available until June 8th at the Madrid 'bread and love' shop @quierounapistola located in the Malasaña neighborhood.
