Chocolate Paving Stones: The Easy Recipe

Ingredients · Servings 8 people
  • 3 egg units
  • 250 g sucre
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 4 tbsp cocoa
  • 30 cl milk
  • 300g flour
  • 2 tsp yeast
  • 200g melted butter
  • 200g icing sugar
  • 4 or 5 tablespoons of cocoa
  • grated coconut
Method · 20 min
  1. Prepare the batter: Whisk the eggs and sugars until pale and creamy. Add the cocoa and milk. Stir in the flour and baking powder. Add the butter. Mix until smooth. Pour onto a 30/33 cm square baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake for 15 minutes at 200°C. Let the biscuit cool, then turn it out onto a wire rack. Remove the parchment paper and place it back in the tin.
  3. Prepare the icing: Mix all the ingredients well. Pour over the cooled biscuit. Smooth the surface.
  4. For decoration: sprinkle with coconut.

For the dough:

  • Egg 3 units
  • Sucre 250 g
  • Vanilla sugar 2 tsp.
  • Cocoa 4 tbsp
  • Milk 30 cl
  • 300g of flour
  • Yeast 2 tsp
  • Melted butter 200 g

For the icing:

  • Icing sugar 200 g
  • Cocoa 4 or 5 tbsp.
