'Filane' peppers a little differently: Quick and easy preparation in one pan

Stuffed peppers are a popular summer dish, but sometimes we just don't have the will or time to go through the long process of preparing them.

Quick preparation and less dishwashing

This recipe is the perfect solution for those moments - it's a quick and easy version that combines all the key ingredients of traditional 'filana' peppers: peppers, minced meat, rice, tomatoes and spices. It's all prepared in a single pan, which means less work and less washing up, while still delivering a full, home-cooked taste.

For an extra treat, sprinkle grated cheese over the dish and let it melt. The result is a filling, delicious, and simple meal that will quickly become a staple on your summer menu.

Ingredients:

- red peppers - onion - garlic - tomatoes (fresh or peeled from a can) - ground beef - spices (salt, pepper, basil, oregano) - basmati rice - soup base - grated cheese

Preparation:

Heat the oil in a large frying pan and fry the minced meat until browned. Add the chopped onion, pepper and garlic and fry for a few minutes, then stir in the rice and spices.

Add the tomatoes and pour in the stock. Stir, cover and cook for about 15 minutes, or until the rice is tender.

After eating, sprinkle with grated mozzarella and wait for the cheese to melt. Serve warm, with or without a bowl of salad. Enjoy!
