Miso-marinated salmon: the easy Japanese recipe to give a twist to the usual salmon
If you're looking for a change from the classic salmon fillet with lemon or dill, this recipe is a fantastic alternative with a very interesting Asian twist.

- 1 salmon fillet
- 1 tablespoon of white miso paste
- 1/2 tablespoon of mirin
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of sake (or gin)
- Sushi rice
- Miso soup
- Sesame seeds
- Chive
Method · 45 min
- Prepare the marinade: put the white miso, mirin, sugar and sake in a bowl.
- Mix until you obtain a homogeneous paste.
- Place the salmon fillet in an ovenproof dish and brush it with the mixture.
- Cover the dish with cling film and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (you can leave it in the refrigerator overnight).
- Preheat the oven to 200°C. Remove the cling film and bake the salmon for 10 minutes.
- Serve with sushi rice and miso soup, and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped chives.
