Chicken with vinegar: the best recipe
Easy recipe for chicken in vinegar sauce, resulting in flavors that are a welcome change from the usual sauces!
Ingredients · Servings 4 people
- 1 medium chicken
- 1/2 glass of white wine
- 1/2 glass red vinegar
- 3 tbsp mustard
- 3 tablespoons of tomato paste
- 1/4 liter chicken broth
- 1 onion
- 1 pot of crème fraîche (pot)
- 2 sprigs of thyme

Method · 30 min
- To prepare the marinade: in a large bowl, combine white wine, vinegar, mustard, and tomato paste; stir and pour over the chicken pieces; add the thyme; mix well so that all the pieces are coated in the marinade. Let marinate for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- After 2 hours, heat oil in a frying pan, add the sliced onion and the drained chicken pieces, quickly fry them on both sides while stirring to prevent sticking;
- When they are nicely browned, add the marinade and the stock; season with salt and pepper, mix; reduce the heat and cook covered for 35 to 45 minutes depending on the size of the pieces.
- 5 minutes before the end of cooking, gently add the small pot of crème fraîche.
- Enjoy piping hot with rice or steamed potatoes!
