Chocolate fondant with apple compote (without butter)
An association that would never have occurred to me without an "excess of homemade compote" and my youngest child's recurring request for a chocolate fondant... I drew inspiration from three recipes to arrive at this one...
Ingredients · Servings 6 people
- 4 apple units
- A few drops of lemon juice
- 200g of store-bought applesauce with no added sugar
- 90g dark chocolate
- 90 g sucre
- 3 egg units
- 90g flour
- 1/2 packet of yeast
Method · 30 min
- If you don't have any leftover applesauce: To make the applesauce: peel, core, and quarter the apples. Add a few drops of lemon juice and simmer in a saucepan over low heat for about 20 minutes. Once the apples are cooked, blend them with an immersion blender until you have a smooth applesauce. Set aside.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C. Melt the chocolate, broken into pieces, in the microwave with a little water.
- In a bowl, whisk together the sugar and eggs, making sure there are no lumps. Add the flour and baking powder, and mix well.
- Add the chocolate, mix well, then add the applesauce. Mix again. Pour into a greased and floured pan. Bake for 25 minutes, making sure the center remains slightly undercooked.
- Allow to cool completely and enjoy without moderation!
