Chocolate fondant with apple compote (without butter)

An association that would never have occurred to me without an "excess of homemade compote" and my youngest child's recurring request for a chocolate fondant... I drew inspiration from three recipes to arrive at this one...

Ingredients · Servings 6 people
  • 4 apple units
  • A few drops of lemon juice
  • 200g of store-bought applesauce with no added sugar
  • 90g dark chocolate
  • 90 g sucre
  • 3 egg units
  • 90g flour
  • 1/2 packet of yeast
Method · 30 min
  1. If you don't have any leftover applesauce: To make the applesauce: peel, core, and quarter the apples. Add a few drops of lemon juice and simmer in a saucepan over low heat for about 20 minutes. Once the apples are cooked, blend them with an immersion blender until you have a smooth applesauce. Set aside.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Melt the chocolate, broken into pieces, in the microwave with a little water.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the sugar and eggs, making sure there are no lumps. Add the flour and baking powder, and mix well.
  4. Add the chocolate, mix well, then add the applesauce. Mix again. Pour into a greased and floured pan. Bake for 25 minutes, making sure the center remains slightly undercooked.
  5. Allow to cool completely and enjoy without moderation!
