We mourn the passing of beloved businessman Eduardo Solorzano Caraza
With deep sorrow, family, friends and acquaintances will bid farewell to businessman Eduardo Solórzano Caraza, who passed away in recent hours due to a massive infection resulting from a surgical procedure, more precisely a catheterization.
With a long career, Solórzano Caraza began working in the hospitality industry in the 1980s, while also working as a broker on the Mexican Stock Exchange. In 1997, he acquired the concession for the cafeteria located in the dome of the financial institution, which he held until 1999, at which point he joined Sergio Berger to found the Landó restaurant.
It was in 2002 that Alberto Cinta joined the project, thus forming the Cinbersol group, its name featuring the initials of the partners' surnames. This alliance lasted from 2000 to 2018.
It's worth mentioning that Solórzano was also president of CANIRAC (National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry) in the Miguel Hidalgo borough: “Restaurants in Mexico City are getting better and better, but everyone looks out for themselves. We only unite when there are problems, but otherwise, everyone pulls their weight,” he once said.
In 2019, together with Fernanda Campos, the businessman opened Kai Sushi Bar on Anatole France, which continues to be a success, and Magnolia Bakery, on the site where Vía Virgilio is located today: “We opened it in 2023, and the construction was carried out by Fernanda, with a concept and decor inspired by Tuscany. The project began with Martha Brockman, but later Edgar Núñez and his partner José Jarero joined, responsible for the operation of the place,” the beloved businessman explained at the time.
Today, Friday, starting at 4:00 PM, and also tomorrow, his family, along with friends and other relatives, will give the final farewell to the renowned businessman at the Lomas Memorial facilities, located on the Mexico-Toluca highway 5210, near El Yaqui.
