Save your weekly meals with our quick, easy, and low-ingredient weekly menu

We really like this time of the week because it's nearing its end and we get to relax, and because we plan our lunches and dinners for the next seven days. It gives us a lot of peace of mind to organize our menus from Monday to Sunday so we don't waste time thinking about what to cook each day.

This approach is convenient and practical for us; it allows us to save money on groceries and avoid wasting food. And it also lets us find simple, quick, varied, and balanced recipes where good flavor always comes first.

Pressure cooker dishes to start the week without wear and tear

A fantastic alternative is to start the week with dishes you can prepare quickly and easily, and for that, a pressure cooker is a great ally. You can make them the same day or even the day before, because stews, casseroles, and other similar dishes improve with time.

Good examples include legumes or potatoes with vegetables, with or without some protein (meat, sausages, chicken, seafood, fish, mushrooms, etc.); steaks in sauce; broths; vegetable stews; meat or fish meatballs; vegetable creams... and even different types of rice dishes.

How to reuse leftover broth, roast chicken, or vegetables to make new dishes

Another thing we love about cooking is creating dishes from leftovers. It's great for avoiding waste, saving money, and also because the results are delicious. For example, leftover roast chicken is perfect for making empanadas, a salad, rice, tacos, or pasta.

If we're talking about a good stock, the possibilities multiply because you can add it to stews, sauces, creams, soups... When we make it, whatever the flavor, we make a large quantity and freeze it in individual containers to always have it on hand.

And if you have roasted, sautéed or poached vegetables in the fridge, you can add them to omelets, sauces, rice dishes, scrambled eggs, creams, quinoa, couscous, legumes, meats, chicken, fish, seafood... They go well with everything!

Light dinners in less than 20 minutes: the protein, vegetable and side dish formula that never fails

The great thing about dinners is that you can whip them up in just a few minutes. The key is combining three basic elements: a protein, a good serving of vegetables, and a healthy side dish. With this structure, you can improvise countless different meals without needing to follow complicated recipes. The combinations are endless!

You can choose grilled chicken, eggs cooked in different ways, cooked legumes, fish, canned goods... Add a good portion of vegetables (broccoli, carrot, zucchini, asparagus, green beans, spinach, tomatoes, different leaves, peppers...) and complete the dish with a side of boiled potato, roasted sweet potato, brown rice, quinoa, etc.

Treat yourself this weekend and don't give up on a good pizza, a hamburger with good bread and perfectly cooked fries, and even a sweet treat.
