ChefsForChildren joins forces against diabetes
ChefsForChildren returns for its seventh edition, with over 60 chefs participating. The event will focus on supporting children affected by type 1 diabetes and contributing to the education of children in healthy cooking with the motto "Eating healthy is fun."
Chefs such as Mario Sandoval, Alberto Chicote, Paco Roncero, Javier Aranda, Carlos Maldonado, Hugo Muñoz, Iván Cerdeño, Javier Estévez, Óscar Velasco, Ricardo Sanz, Israel Ramos and Juan Antonio Medina participated in the presentation, highlighting the importance of solidarity and gastronomic education in childhood.
The 7th edition will be held at Anantara Villa Padierna and will feature cooking workshops, a gastronomic forum and a charity gala dinner in support of DiabetesCERO, a foundation dedicated to research into type 1 diabetes.
Each year more and more chefs from all over Spain participate altruistically in this initiative, contributing their care and professionalism. In 2025, ChefsforChildren is collaborating with DiabetesCERO, the leading Spanish foundation researching a cure for type 1 diabetes. This autoimmune disease, which primarily appears in childhood, has no cure and its incidence is increasing. Each year, between 1,200 and 1,500 children under 15 are diagnosed; 1 in 42 families in Spain lives with this chronic illness.
Together with the chefs, they will soon organize two cooking workshops for children with diabetes: the first on March 10th at the Le CordonBleu Madrid cooking school and the second in another location yet to be confirmed.
ChefsForChildren will repeat the setting on April 28 at Anantara Villa Padierna and the event will culminate with a charity gala dinner with an exclusive tasting menu prepared by Michelin-starred chefs from Malaga.
