The small but charming cafe specialises in soft Italian-style brioche doughnuts, freshly made and hand-filled daily. They may look indulgent, but every flavour we tried had the perfect balance of sweetness, without any hint of sickening richness. They are easily the best doughnuts in London, and a few of our favourites include the Lemon Meringue, Vanilla, Pistachio, and Blueberry Doughnuts. All flavours are halal-friendly except for the Tiramisu one.

Bread Ahead Bakery

A longstanding favourite and a legend from Borough Market, Bread Ahead Bakery’s doughnuts always hit the spot. Their Caramel & Honeycomb Doughnut is a classic for a reason and is a firm favourite of ours. They now have multiple branches across London, and their viral Creme Brulee Doughnut has been the talk of the town.

St John Bakery

St John Bakery is one of London’s most iconic bakeries, with its doughnuts at the forefront of the spotlight. They are a Michelin-starred establishment, consistently serving Londoners high-quality doughnuts. Their classic jam doughnuts are the most popular flavour for a reason, and they also do other seasonal flavours as well.

Greedy Cow Bakes

With immense social media buzz, Greedy Cow Bakes has become an East London sensation, serving everything from classic doughnuts that are filled with every viral-worthy flavour, to trendy Korean Milk Donuts. Their bakery facilities are also completely nut-free, and none of their products involves nuts.

The popular neighbourhood bakery, Jolene, attracts people from all across London for its delicious pastries. Stunning pastries aside, they also make amazing doughnuts that are simply not being talked about enough. Those doughnuts are worth the hype, as are all their other pastries and bakery goodies.

If you’re craving for something a little lighter, then check out Cardabelle for its French-style Crullers. Whether it’s the Creme Brulee, Pistachio, or Honey Marshmallow (halal-friendly) cruller, all the flavours are irresistibly delicious. Find them at the Harrods Food Hall, or on the weekends (Saturdays & Sundays) at the Duck Pond Market in Richmond and Maltby Street Market.

Whether it’s cronuts or classic doughnuts, this longstanding bakery remains one of the top contenders for the best doughnuts in London. Doughnuts aside, their bakery goods are widely wholesaled across London as well.

Let’s switch things up a bit from traditional doughnuts and look at Japanese mochi doughnuts. Ichiba at Westfield White City has a little mochi donut bar, serving delicious Japanese mochi doughnuts with the perfect soft, chewy, bouncy texture.
