What to do this Sunday? Fish, pork rinds, duck, ice cream and more at the Cochabamba fairs

In Sacaba, the 17th Annual Fish and Traditional Food Fair is taking place from 8:00 AM on Monseñor Roberto Nicoli and Ismael Céspedes streets, in the Plaza del Estudiante. Visitors can enjoy broths, fried foods, grilled dishes, fried pork rinds, and innovative dishes made with species such as sábalo, dorado, tambaquí, trout, pacú, surubí, and pejerrey, among others.

The schedule will continue at 9:00 AM at different locations. In the Taquiña Norte neighborhood, on Centenario Avenue, the Duck and Beer Agricultural and Livestock Fair will take place.

In the Excombatientes Park, in the municipality of Cochabamba, the sixth edition of the Chicha and Chicharrón Fair will also take place from 09:00 until 16:00.

In Sipe Sipe, the Itapaya canton will host the 21st Annual "Traditional Food and Chicha Criolla" Fair in the town's main square. Visitors from Quillacollo can take bus line 261, which departs from near Plaza Bolívar.

Meanwhile, the 3rd Annual Artisanal Ice Cream and Mini Gastronomy Fair will be held in Plaza 30 de Abril in Sipe Sipe. Bus lines 245, 260, and 270 stop there.

In Tarata, the community of Vilaque will host the fifth annual Pottery, Pots, Agricultural Products, and Traditional Food Fair, starting at 9:00 AM. In addition to the exhibition and sale of products, traditional dishes will be offered. The fair is accessible from Cochabamba via public transportation departing from Barrientos Avenue, and from Tarata, from the main square.

In Colomi, the community of Maica Monte will host the First Agricultural Fair of Arracacha and its Derivatives, as well as Tourism. Transportation to the fair departs from the intersection of 9 de Abril and Oquendo avenues in Cochabamba.

The day also includes religious activities in different municipalities.

In El Paso, Quillacollo, the festivities for the Feast of Saint James the Apostle continue today. Mass is scheduled for 11:00 AM, followed by the start of the celebration at 1:00 PM in Plaza 27 de Mayo. The Stations of the Cross procession is scheduled for tomorrow at 3:00 PM in the same location. The festivities will continue next Sunday, September 27th, with the Alasitas market.

In Punata, leading up to the Feast of the Crucified Christ, Lord of Miracles, a mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in honor of Milagritos at the San Juan Bautista Church. At 12:00 p.m., the Children's Folkloric Parade "Milagritos" and the procession will begin, starting from the Plaza Libertadores.

Finally, in Capinota-Irpa Irpa, the Grand Launch of the Festival of the Virgin of Mercy is scheduled for today.

The Sunday agenda thus brings together gastronomy, production, crafts, culture and religious tradition in different parts of the department.
