Easy Pound Cake Recipe

  • For the base
  • 140g Flour
  • 140 g Powdered sugar
  • 140 g Butter
  • 3 Egg(s)
  • 0.5 pack(s) Baking powder
  • 1 pinch(s) of salt
  • For the perfume of your choice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp Rum
  • 1 Citron(s)

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Put the eggs in a bowl, whisk them together, then add the caster sugar, sifted flour, baking powder, a pinch of salt and the melted butter.
  2. To add a little extra flavor to your pound cake, you can add vanilla extract, rum, or lemon zest. Mix everything well to obtain a smooth and homogeneous batter.
  3. Grease and flour a cake tin and pour in the batter. Bake for about 40 minutes.
  4. Check the baking progress with a knife. Inserted into the center of the cake, it should come out clean when the cake is fully cooked.
