We discovered this Korean technique by chance, and since then we never make cucumber salad any other way. The secret: salt the cucumber 15 minutes beforehand so it stays nice and crisp, then toss it with a sesame-plain yogurt dressing. Zero cooking, 10 minutes, and a fresh and original salad that's unlike any other we've ever had. The Bleu-Blanc-Cœur plain yogurt, at cost price and made with French milk, provides the creamy base that transforms the recipe.
Tips
Salt is the key: by drawing out the cucumber's moisture, it eliminates excess water and makes the flesh firmer and crisper. The result: the salad doesn't release water and stays crisp for several hours in the refrigerator. U brand natural yogurt, produced according to the Bleu-Blanc-Cœur program and made with French milk, provides a creamy texture and rich flavor that transforms a simple dressing into something truly delicious. A great way to enjoy flavor at a reasonable price.
