Hummus in the Thermomix {The best}
Did you know? "Hummus" means "chickpeas" in Arabic, a word that gave its name to this dish found in many mezze platters in Arabic, Jewish, Armenian, and Levantine cuisine. Many countries claim it as their own, to the point that there's even talk of a "hummus war"!

In France, hummus is usually served as an appetizer, accompanied by bread, blinis, or raw vegetables cut into sticks. But you can use it in other dishes, such as in a burger, in a pita bread, in a salad, or even enjoy it by the spoonful. The advantage is that hummus is extremely rich in protein and full of healthy fats; the downside is that your "fresh breath" can take a hit because of the garlic, so adjust the amount according to the size of your cloves .
You'll see, making hummus with your Thermomix is really very easy and very quick and you'll never go back to industrial recipes which are much less healthy and much less tasty .

Lesfillescuisinent rated this recipe 5/5, 5 years and 1 month ago. I've made this recipe many times and it's always a hit! I followed the comments: I used fromage blanc instead of oil at the end and blended it a little longer. Perfect! And for the first time, I tried making chocolate mousse with the chickpea liquid: delicious! Thank you Minou for this great recipe and thank you all for the comments!
Veronique Marie gave this recipe 5/5 stars 7 years and 6 months ago. I followed the comments and used less garlic. Since I didn't have any fromage blanc to replace the oil at the end, I used Kiri cheese and a little of the chickpea liquid. It was really delicious!
