Ingredients
18 frozen M&M's fried onion rings • 1 box of M&M's Wagyu Beef Mini Burgers (459 g) • 9 mini burger buns • 250 ml (1 cup) shredded sharp cheddar cheese • 6 cooked bacon slices, cut into thirds • 9 pickle slices
For the sauce:
• 30 ml (2 tbsp) butter • 15 ml (1 tbsp) all-purpose flour • 125 ml (1/2 cup) amber ale • 60 ml (1/4 cup) 15% cooking cream • 15 ml (1 tbsp) Dijon mustard • 10 ml (2 tsp) maple syrup • Salt and pepper to taste
Steps:
- 1. Preheat the oven to 205°C (400°F). Place the fried onion rings on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 18 to 20 minutes, turning halfway through. 2. Preheat the barbecue to medium-high heat (220°C/425°F). 3. Prepare the sauce: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Pour in the beer and whisk until smooth. Add the cream, mustard, and maple syrup. Season with salt and pepper and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes over low heat. 4. On the hot, oiled grill, cook the mini-burgers for 6 to 7 minutes per side, until the meat is no longer pink. 5. Toast the buns for a few seconds. 6. Assemble: Top the buns with beef patties, sauce, bacon, cheddar cheese, pickles, and fried onions.
