Smoked ham tacos with pineapple salsa

Looking to try a taco recipe that's a little out of the ordinary? These smoked ham and pineapple salsa tacos are sure to please! They offer a divine blend of sweet and savory flavors and sunny aromas, and they come together in no time.

Ingredients

  • 3 packs of sliced ​​Olymel Black Forest smoked ham (150g each)
  • 8 small corn or wheat tortillas

For the pineapple and cucumber salsa:

  • 250 ml (1 cup) of pineapple cut into small cubes
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) chopped fresh coriander
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) of lime juice
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) of honey
  • 2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) chili flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cucumber, cut into small dice
  • 1/2 small red onion, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

To serve (to taste, optional):

  • Mayonnaise chipotle
  • Sour cream

Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 205 °C (400 °F).
  • In a bowl, mix together the salsa ingredients. Set aside.
  • Cut the ham slices into strips.
  • Spread the ham strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  • In a pan heated over medium heat, warm the tortillas for a few seconds on each side.
  • Top the tortillas with ham and pineapple and cucumber salsa. If desired, serve with chipotle mayonnaise and sour cream.
