Super easy red fruit protein cake
Can any whey protein be used to make this cake?
- 35 g of flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 25g of whey (vanilla in this case)
- 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
- 1 egg
- 50g of Greek yogurt
- 70 g of milk

- Mix the flour, baking powder, whey protein, and chia seeds directly in the mold.
- Add the egg, yogurt, and milk, and stir well until there are no lumps.
- Add the red berries at the end and mix them gently to distribute them.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20 to 25 minutes.
- And it's ready!
Yes, you can use any whey protein you prefer. Just keep in mind that some are sweeter than others. Since ours was already sweetened, we didn't add any sweetener to the recipe. If yours isn't sweetened (or you prefer it sweeter), you can add a little agave syrup. You can also change the flavor profile: for example, use chocolate whey and replace the berries with chocolate chips.
How to preserve red fruit protein cake?
Ideally, it should be stored in the refrigerator, in an airtight container. It will keep well for up to 3 days that way.
Is it possible to customize the fruit in this chia and whey cake?
Yes, absolutely. You can use other fruits (for example, banana) if you fancy a banana bread-like touch.
