Whipped caipirinha with passion fruit: the Brazilian cocktail made in a blender
The caipirinha is to Brazil what the mojito is to Cuba: a popular, refreshing, and easily recognizable cocktail. It's made with muddled lime, sugar, ice, and cachaça, a sugarcane spirit.
Ingredients · Servings 1
- 1 passion fruit
- 2 measures of white cachaça (approx. 60 ml)
- 1 tablespoon of sugar (to taste)
- Ice cubes
Method · 5 min
- Cut open the passion fruit and remove the pulp. In a blender, combine the pulp, sugar, and cachaça.
- Blend gently and briefly, just enough to mix. Strain directly into the glass you will be serving it in.
- Stir, taste, and adjust the sugar if needed. Add the ice and serve immediately. And, as always, if you drink alcohol, do so in moderation.
