Homemade prune marmalade

During plum season, try our recipes for prune pesto or make your own dried prunes.

Ingredients · Servings 6
  • prunes - 3 kg
  • sugar - 1.5 kg
  • water - 500 ml
  • lemon zest - 1 tsp.
  • walnuts - 1 cup, chopped
  • indrishe - 7 leaves
Method · 1 h 40 min
  1. Wash and remove the pits from the prunes.
  2. We blend them carefully.
  3. Pour the puree into a large saucepan, add the sugar and water, and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon.
  4. When it thickens, add the lemon zest, walnuts, and indrishe.
  5. Pour the marmalade into dry jars and seal.
  6. Sterilize the jars for 15 minutes.
  7. Homemade prune marmalade is ready.
