Alsatian plum tart: the best recipe
Alsatian plum tart is a traditional dessert from the region, easy to make at home. With its crisp pastry and slightly tart plums, it's delicious both warm and cold. A simple recipe to fully enjoy this seasonal fruit.
Ingredients · Servings 6 people
- 1 kg of squash
- 2 egg units
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 120 g sucre
- 30g ground almonds
- 1 unit shortcrust pastry
- 20 cl semi-thick cream
Method · 30 min
- Wash the plums, dry them, then pit them. Cut them in half and set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar. Add the semi-thick cream and mix until you obtain a smooth mixture.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a tart tin with the shortcrust pastry and prick the base with a fork.
- Arrange the halved plums on the base of the tart, rounded side down, packing them in slightly.
- Carefully pour the egg and cream mixture over the plums, making sure to spread it evenly.
- Bake the pie for about 40 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown and the filling is set.
- Once out of the oven, let the tart cool slightly before removing it from the tin. It can be enjoyed warm or cold.
