Classic shepherd's pie with garlic and parsley: the easy recipe

- 100 kg potatoes
- 600g minced meat
- 4 or 5 onions
- 150g butter
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
- 2 tablespoons of granulated garlic (frozen)
- 20 cl milk
- grated nutmeg

Method · 45 min
- Peel the onions, slice them and brown them in a pan with 25g of butter.
- Peel the potatoes, cut them into pieces and cook them in boiling water for 20 minutes. Drain them and mash them.
- Remove the onions and set aside. In their place, add the ground meat and cook for 5 to 6 minutes. Return the onions to the pan and stir-fry everything together. Off the heat, add the parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Mash the potatoes. Add the milk and 125g of butter, a little grated nutmeg.
- In a buttered ovenproof dish, spread the minced meat and then add the mashed potatoes. Bake in a preheated oven (200°C/400°F) for about 25 minutes. Then broil for 5 minutes until golden brown.
