Grilled marinated sardines
Enjoy these marinated sardines cooked on a griddle. A treat that transports us to the seaside... A very flavorful recipe...
Ingredients · Servings 4 people
- 2 squeezed limes + the peel of one of them cut into small pieces
- 1/2 bunch of chopped coriander
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 unit ginger
- fleur de sel
- fleur de sel
- 1 lemon unit
Method · 20 min
- Gut the sardines and rinse them quickly to remove the blood (preferably with salt water).
- Peel and chop the garlic. Zest half a lime, and juice both limes. Peel the ginger and slice it thinly.
- Place the sardines in a container and cover them with the garlic and ginger. Pour over the lemon juice and olive oil. Let marinate for about 2 hours, or a little longer.
- Light the griddle, medium heat. Grill the sardines on the griddle, about 3 minutes on each side, sprinkling with a little coriander.
- Place in a dish, sprinkle with fleur de sel, and serve with lemon wedges and a little more chopped cilantro. Add steamed potatoes. Enjoy!
