Roast pork with prunes

Discover the easy recipe for roast pork with prunes. A classic sweet and savory dish that's also comforting, combining a tender pork loin stuffed with prunes and a delicious white wine and tomato sauce.

Ingredients · Servings 4 people
  • 800g boneless pork fillet
  • 200g pitted prunes
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 cloves of chopped garlic
  • 1 sprig of chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • 20 cl white wine

Method · 30 min
  1. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, make a hole lengthwise in the pork tenderloin. Stuff with the prunes. Tie the roast with kitchen twine. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Brown the roast in butter on all sides over medium heat (be careful not to burn the butter). Transfer the meat to an oven dish.
  3. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F). In the fat used for the roast, sauté the onion, garlic, and parsley until translucent. Add the tomato and white wine. Bring to a boil and pour this sauce over the meat. Bake for 30 minutes.
