Zucchini tian with smoked bacon and Gruyère cheese
How to prepare the vegetables and pre-cook the ingredients?

- 900 g courgette
- 100g smoked bacon
- 70g rice
- 50g grated Gruyère cheese
- 1 large onion
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 eggs
- 4 cloves of garlic

- Peel the zucchini, cut it in half lengthwise, and scoop out the seeds. Cut the zucchini into small pieces. Steam until cooked through. It's done when a knife easily pierces it. Mash the zucchini.
- Peel and finely chop the onion. In a pan, sweat the onion in olive oil without letting it brown.
- Cook the rice halfway. Fry the bacon. Chop the garlic and parsley.
- In a bowl, mix the courgette, rice, onion, beaten eggs, bacon, grated Gruyère cheese, garlic and parsley, season with salt and pepper.
- Pour into a buttered gratin dish and bake in the oven for 40 minutes at 200°C (therm.6-7).
Peel, seed, and chop 900g of zucchini into chunks. Steam them, then mash them. Sauté a chopped onion in olive oil until translucent but not browned. Meanwhile, half-cook the rice, fry the bacon, and chop the garlic and parsley.
How do you assemble the elements of this tian?
In a large bowl, combine the mashed zucchini, precooked rice, onion, and bacon. Add the two beaten eggs, 50g of grated Gruyère cheese, and the chopped garlic and parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
