US Meat presents children's menus for a delicious summer
Today, more than ever, we know that children are developing more sophisticated palates, with diverse and demanding tastes. Therefore, it is increasingly difficult for parents to find healthy, delicious, and complete meal options for their children at restaurants.
In response to this need, chefs, brands, and restaurants—such as the Food Service division of the US Meat Export Federation (USMEF)—are rethinking their children's menu offerings. By continuously studying industry trends, innovative ideas are emerging that not only please children's tastes but also respond to parents' desire to offer them healthier meals with quality ingredients when eating out.
Based on the above, US Meat is launching the second edition of its KIDS DELIGHTS campaign, an effort to break with classic children's menu items like hot dogs and nuggets, to present more original, healthy and gourmet options, designed for these great little foodies.
From now until July 20, the KIDS DELIGHTS campaign will feature 12 exclusive menus at 12 restaurants in Mexico City. Each dish was created by one of the 10 participating chefs, who drew inspiration from the flavors of their childhood. All the recipes share one of two common ingredients: pork or American beef.
This year, the real stars of the show joined in: the children. In small groups, these mini-foodies interviewed each of the chefs to find out what childhood memories inspired their creations. These interviews can be viewed on US Meat's social media channels.
The participating restaurants where children can enjoy these delicious KIDS DELIGHTS creations are:
- Bao Bao: Chefs Kathy Fong y Omar Torres (Guanajuato 202, Roma Norte)
- Chapulín: Chef José Luis Ronquillo (Campos Elíseos 218, Polanco)
- The Mayor: Chef Begoña Pérez-Porrúa (República de Argentina 15, Centro)
- Fabia: Chef Nasheli Martínez (C. de la Amargura 17, San Ángel)

Activations and campaigns like KIDS DELIGHTS demonstrate that healthy eating and having fun at the same time are possible. By introducing children to dishes with quality ingredients and more complete preparations in appealing formats, we can spark their interest in more mindful, enjoyable, and fun eating. It's proof that the best family moments can also be healthy.
