Nadiya's kiwi and feta salad
Kiwi is a great complement to savory dishes! Dice it into a salad, even with the peel on. Salty feta and a honey-sweetened dressing go perfectly with it.
Ingredients · Servings 4
- 1 red onion
- 8 kiwis
- 1 cucumber
- 200 g feta
- a small handful of dill
- 2 tablespoons black sesame seeds
- 5 tablespoons olive oil
- 5 tablespoons lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons of liquid honey
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tablespoon zaatar spice mix
- 4 tablespoons tahini
Method · 20 min
- First, make the dressing. Place the oil, lemon juice, honey, minced garlic clove, za'atar, and tahini in a salad serving bowl and mix.
- Peel and chop the red onion. Mix the onion into the sauce and let it marinate for 5 minutes.
- Cut the kiwi into pieces with the skin on. If you don't like the skin, you can remove it.
- Cut the cucumber lengthwise. Scrape out the seeds with a small spoon. Dice the cucumber. Add the cucumber cubes and crumbled feta to the salad bowl with the onion. Add the dill and sesame seeds. Mix and serve immediately.
Vicissitudes
Tip 1 If you want the dish to be vegan, replace the cheese with a plant-based product and mix syrup into the sauce instead of honey.
Tip 2 You can use small mini cucumbers in your salad, without removing the seeds.
