Grill broiler to the rescue! 15-minute everyday recipes

A cooked, warm chicken from the store counter helps in those situations when you're hungry but have little time or inclination.

With the help of a mature chicken, you can create anything in 15 minutes. Try Thai soup, Indian fried rice or American-Italian pasta.

Tasty broth in minutes

Soup, that uncrowned king of everyday life, is a lifesaver when you can't think of anything to cook. This quick version of Thai-inspired coconut soup seasoned with red curry paste uses cooked chicken and pre-chopped vegetables.

If hunger isn't looming around the corner, meaning you have more cooking time available, there's nothing stopping you from chopping the vegetables yourself and cooking the chicken in broth.

Fried rice Indian style

Biryani, an Indian rice dish cooked with spices, cooks up succulently in no time. Ready in a quarter of an hour, this quick cousin of biryani is made by frying cooked, cold rice in a pan and seasoning it with store-bought curry paste. The rice is seasoned with a broiler, dried apricot slices and crushed almonds.

You can also mix up a cold, yogurt-based raita sauce to top off the dish, sprinkled with diced cucumber and tomato. And if you happen to find a jar of mango chutney or another chutney in the fridge, it's definitely worth bringing to the table to brighten up the dish.

Fresh pasta saves you in a hurry

The gentle combination of garlic, butter and cream never disappoints. Especially if you mix it into a sauce for fresh pasta and finish the dish with some cooked grilled chicken from the store. These ingredients make a comforting weeknight pasta in 15 minutes.
