Nutella Stuffed Brownies

Indulge in the ultimate chocolate lover’s dream with these Nutella Stuffed Brownies! These brownies are rich, fudgy, and decadently filled with a thick layer of gooey Nutella that melts into every bite.

Ingredients
  • 180 g unsalted butter
  • 320 g chocolate (for melting)
  • 120 g all purpose flour
  • 50 g cocoa powder
  • 180 g granulated sugar
  • 80 g brown sugar
  • 2 g salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 120 g chocolate chunks (optional to mix in and garnish)
  • 450 g nutella
Method
  1. Line your 8x8 inch baking tray with parchment paper and spread evenly 450 g of nutella and put in freezer (should take around an hour), after an hour remove from pan and wrap in plastic wrap and keep in freezer
  2. Preheat the oven to 329°F (165°C) and line an 8 in x 8 in baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. In a heatproof bowl, combine 180 g butter and 320 g chocolate. Place the bowl over a pot of simmering water (ensure the water doesn’t touch the bowl) and stir occasionally until smooth and melted. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together 180 g granulated sugar, 80 g brown sugar, and 3 eggs. Whisk for 2–3 minutes until the mixture becomes light, thick, and smooth. This step helps create the signature crinkly top.
  5. Add the melted chocolate-butter mixture to the egg-sugar mixture and stir until smooth.
  6. Sift in 120 g all-purpose flour, 50 g cocoa powder, and 2 g salt.
  7. Gradually fold in the flour-cocoa mixture until just combined. Some streaks of flour are fine—do not overmix. Fold in some of the chocolate chunks until evenly distributed throughout the batter
  8. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly.
  9. Place your hardened nutella square on top
  10. Pour the remaining brownie batter over the nutella, spreading it out to cover evenly
  11. Sprinkle with extra chocolate chunks for garnish.
  12. Bake for 45–65 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).
  13. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan to ensure clean slices. Once cooled, lift the brookies out using the parchment paper and slice into squares or rectangles.
  14. Serve and Enjoy!

  • Crowd-Pleaser: These brownies are perfect for any gathering or special occasion—they’re guaranteed to impress chocolate lovers everywhere.

The Secret to That Crinkly Top

The hallmark of a perfect brownie is the shiny, crackly top, and the secret lies in how you mix the egg and sugar mixture. Whisk the eggs, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together for 2–3 minutes until the mixture is light, pale, and thick. For the ultimate crinkle top, rub a little of the mixture between your fingers—it should feel smooth with no granules of sugar remaining. This step is crucial for achieving the signature texture that makes these brownies irresistible.

Customize Them Your Way

Love experimenting with flavors? You can easily swap the Nutella for your favorite nut butter or spread. Peanut butter, almond butter, or even Biscoff cookie butter work beautifully as a substitute. Just follow the same freezing method for the filling to ensure it keeps its shape when baked. Sprinkle your favorite mix-ins like chopped nuts, caramel bits, or extra chocolate chunks for even more indulgence!
