Magimix BlenderMix: my opinion on this blender
Blenders have many fans. I became one of them when I saw this Magimix BlenderMix in action in Paris. When I was there last December, I went to Magimix headquarters, as I always do when I visit Paris, to see my friends Arnould, Greg, and Fred. And, as always, I learned a lot while they showed me how it works.
You can buy it here.
I like it a lot because:
It has an accessory cup —sold separately— that is great for grinding coffee, almonds or any nuts, spices or for making small quantities, ideal for when we want to make sauces, hummus, purees or even smoothies for one person.
Well, each one really has its own function. A good food processor, in addition to having multiple functions like chopping, mincing, blending, kneading, or whisking, also heats and cooks food; it's the most complete of all.
On the other hand, hand blenders are easy to store because the body can usually be separated from the blades, allowing you to keep them in any cupboard where they take up minimal space. They're versatile, but many have less power than desired. I've had this model for many years.
Finally, blenders have the advantage of being very powerful —they can crush ice or frozen food—, fast and easy to clean.
