Passion fruit popsicles: easy step-by-step (VIDEO)

Learn the technique to extract the essence of passion fruit and prepare your own popsicles with this delicious fruit.

Popsicles are a classic Peruvian summer treat, and the passion fruit version is perhaps the most popular, not only for its intense flavor but also because it's usually the most affordable. Passion fruit is a tropical fruit that thrives during this season. Known as the fruit of passion, it offers numerous health benefits. In addition to its antimicrobial properties, it provides carbohydrates and sugars, as well as phytosterols, natural compounds that help lower cholesterol levels.

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Wash the fruit very well.
  • Cut each passion fruit in half and remove the pulp with a small spoon.
  • Place all the passion fruit pulp in the blender. Blend until the seeds separate from the pulp. Then, strain to obtain the passion fruit essence.
  • Return this essence to the blender. Add the water and sugar.
  • Blend well and fill the popsicle bags.
  • Freeze overnight.
