Overnight oats with yogurt – your power breakfast!
My overnight oats with yogurt are a simple, healthy breakfast recipe that will greet you stress-free in the morning. The combination of creamy yogurt, rolled oats, and chia seeds provides a light yet satisfying start to the day.
- 50 g Haferflocken
- 1 TL Chia- oder Leinsamen
- 100 ml Milch (1
- 5 % Fett) oder pflanzliche Alternative
- 100 g Naturjoghurt (3
- 5 % Fett)
- 100 g Obst (z.B. Beeren
- Apfel etc.
- optional)
- 1 TL Ahornsirup (optional)
Ingredients
You will need: a preserving jar or screw-top jar (at least 250 ml), a tablespoon, a teaspoon, a knife, and a cutting board.
Place the rolled oats together with the chia or flax seeds in a clean preserving jar or other sealable container and mix them together.
Add the milk to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly, then add the yogurt. Seal the jar airtight and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
The next morning, wash, peel, and chop the desired fruit. Distribute it over the overnight oats with yogurt and chia seeds, and drizzle with maple syrup if desired.
My tip
For natural sweetness, you can add raisins or finely chopped dried fruit to the jar the night before – they'll soak up the liquid overnight and make the oats even more flavorful. If you like variety, replace the yogurt with quark or coconut yogurt, or enhance the mixture with cinnamon, vanilla, or a spoonful of nut butter.
