The family-run garden centre 25 minutes from Manchester with a free indoor pumpkin patch, autumnal woodland trail & loaded hot chocolate

Autumn is arriving in full colour at Summerseat Garden Centre, as the family-run garden centre in the picturesque village of Summerseat, near Bury, gets ready to celebrate everything there is to love about the cosy season.

Just 25 minutes from Manchester city centre, Summerseat will be filled with beautiful seasonal displays, autumn plants, homeware, gifts, delicious food and a packed programme of events, creating the perfect place to shop, eat and enjoy an autumn day out.

At the heart of the season, Summerseat’s Indoor Pumpkin Patch returns from Saturday 3rd October with free entry, transformed for 2026 with a beautiful new autumnal woodland theme. Families can step into an enchanting seasonal setting filled with pumpkins, scarecrows and woodland animals, with plenty of photo opportunities, an Autumn Pumpkin Trail and the chance to pick the perfect pumpkin to take home, all under cover for whatever the Lancashire weather brings.

A brand new pop-up food hut will open alongside the Pumpkin Patch, serving freshly made sourdough toasties, hot mini doughnuts with dipping sauces, homemade cakes and cookies, alongside warming seasonal drinks including autumn spiced lattes and fully loaded hot chocolates.

A spokesperson for Summerseat Garden Centre said: “We love celebrating the changing seasons at Summerseat and autumn is such a special time here. This year we’ve created a beautiful new woodland feel for our Pumpkin Patch and added our new pop-up food hut, so visitors can grab a warm toastie or sweet treat and really make a day of their visit.

“We want Summerseat to be somewhere people come to enjoy everything they love about autumn.”

The autumn atmosphere continues throughout the garden centre, with seasonal plants, inspiring displays and carefully selected collections of autumn homeware and gifts, alongside Halloween decorations for those looking to add something a little spookier to their home.
