Tips for making these tuna and mushroom skewers
- Use good quality fresh tuna for a better texture.
- Don't cut the cubes too small to prevent them from drying out.
- Marinate the fish for just a few minutes so that it doesn't lose its firmness.
- Cook with the grill or pan very hot before placing the skewers.
- Turn the skewers carefully so the tuna doesn't break.
- Avoid overcooking the tuna to keep it juicy.
- Use small mushrooms so they cook at the same rate as the fish.
- Cut the vegetables into similar sizes to achieve even cooking.
- If you're grilling them, lightly grease the grill to prevent them from sticking.
What type of tuna is best for making kebabs?
Ideally, use fresh tuna loin, as it maintains its shape better during cooking and offers a firm and juicy texture.
Can tuna skewers be prepared in a frying pan?
Yes. A grill pan or griddle works very well and allows you to achieve a browning similar to that of a grill.
How long should tuna skewers be cooked?
Between 6 and 8 minutes is usually enough. The time may vary depending on the thickness of the cubes and your preferred level of doneness.
How to prevent tuna from drying out?
Don't overcook it and cook at a high temperature to quickly seal the outside while keeping the inside juicy.
