Weekends call for a chilled dessert: check out this wedding cake!

With layers of cream, dulce de leche, and biscuit, this recipe should be frozen before serving.

Ingredients
  • 1 package of Maria Fortaleza biscuits
  • 200g of dulce de leche
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 can of milk
  • 1 carton of heavy cream
  • 4 eggs
  • Orange zest (optional)
Method
  1. In a saucepan, combine the sweetened condensed milk, milk, egg yolks, and orange zest. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Set this mixture aside.
  2. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then carefully fold in the heavy cream. Add this mixture to the reserved cream.
  3. In a baking dish, assemble the cake, starting with a layer of cream. On top, place a layer of cookies broken into small pieces by hand. Add generous spoonfuls of dulce de leche. Continue alternating the layers.
  4. Place the cake in the freezer overnight or for approximately 8 hours.
  5. To unmold it, quickly pass the mold over a stove flame or place it in a water bath for a few seconds.

For warmer days, frozen desserts can be a good alternative to vary the menu. The Bem-Casado Frozen Cake combines layers of cream, cookie pieces, and spoonfuls of dulce de leche in a recipe that needs to be frozen for a few hours before serving.

The preparation is simple and the result is a creamy dessert with different textures. For convenience, it can be prepared the day before and kept in the freezer until ready to unmold and serve.
