Daysol Coffee Lab in Birmingham wins international award for locally roasted coffee
In a converted brewery on 3rd Avenue S in Birmingham, Daysol Coffee Lab is sourcing and roasting award-winning coffee.
Thunderbird shined in the Espresso/Single Origin Experimental category, judged blindly by a panel of certified coffee experts.
For Daysol, the recognition affirms their goal of sourcing quality beans and bringing out the best flavors through the roasting process.

You can try Thunderbird for yourself, or any of Daysol’s other quality brews, at either of their two locations: the flagship shop and roastery on 3rd Avenue South or their newly renovated Bluff Park coffee shop.
You can find Daysol alongside other familiar coffee shops at the inaugural Bham Coffee Fest on September 26, 2026 at Pepper Place.
Coffee Fest will feature some of Birmingham’s best coffees and proceeds from the event will benefit the Lakeshore Foundation, a nonprofit organization advocating for accessibility and inclusion for people of all abilities.
