Just when you thought pizza night couldn’t get any better, one Evansville-area restaurant has added something sweet to its menu.

Dontae’s Highland Pizza Parlor recently announced that it has partnered with locally owned Lic’s Deli & Ice Cream. That means you can now enjoy your pizza and finish the meal with a scoop or maybe two of a local favorite.

And who doesn't love the salty savory meal followed by a sweet creamy dessert, that's why this partnership makes perfect sense. Pizza and ice cream are two foods that belong together, especially when you are trying to plan an easy dinner the whole family will enjoy.

Which Flavor Are You Choosing?

Dontae’s shared a list of eight Lic’s flavors currently available:

• Vanilla
• Dutch Chocolate
• Black Cherry
• Salted Praline
• Oreo Cookie
• Mint Chocolate Chip
• Cake Batter
• Raspberry Sorbet

The restaurant says these flavors will rotate, so there may be something different waiting for you each time you visit.

I can't have dairy but it's nice they have the Raspberry Sorbet and hopefully add on to their dairy free section.

Two Local Favorites Team Up

Lic’s has been serving ice cream in the Tri-State since 1950, so this is more than just another dessert being added to a menu. It is a partnership between two locally owned businesses and a very tasty one at that.

Whether you are loyal to classic vanilla, love anything chocolate or want to try something a little different like Salted Praline, there is already a pretty good variety to choose from.

Now comes the difficult part: deciding whether to save room for dessert or simply accept that ice cream is part of the main meal.
