Golden Autumn Cake

The "Golden Autumn" cake is a dessert that lives up to its name in both its color and its flavor.

Step 1

Make the jelly. Pour 40 g of gelatin into 250 ml of water, let it swell, and heat until completely dissolved. Mix the orange juice with half the gelatin solution and refrigerate for 4 hours. When the jelly has set, cut it into cubes. Soften the butter, mix it with the biscuit crumbs, and spread it on the bottom of the pan. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 200°C. Let it cool.

Step 2

For fruit garnish, pour 10 g of gelatin into 0.5 cups of water. After it swells, heat until completely dissolved. Cut the orange and apple into wedges. Remove the grapes from the bunch.

Step 3

Squeeze the lemon juice and sprinkle it over the apple slices.

Step 4

Pour the sugar into a bowl. Dip the fruit first in the gelatin, then in the sugar.

Step 5

Whisk the cottage cheese, sugar, and cream. Combine with the remaining gelatin solution.

Step 6

Add the jelly cubes and mix. Pour the mixture into a cake pan lined with a sponge, smooth the surface, and refrigerate for 3–4 hours. Decorate the cake with candied fruit.
