Squared puff pastry cake with apples

A sweet, delicious, and indulgent cake. It looks inviting, especially with its distinctive quilt-like design. Let's make this apple square puff pastry cake together.

A truly delicious and delicious dessert, even just looking at it. Everyone will love it, especially children. It's easy to make, requiring just a few ingredients, which we're sure we already have in our pantry. Let's see what we need to make it.

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Cooking time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 rolls of puff pastry
  • Powdered sugar
  • grated lemon zest
  • 4 Mine (average)
  • Latte

Apple Square Puff Pastry: Method

Start by peeling the apples, removing the cores, and chopping them into small pieces. In a separate saucepan, add the sugar and lemon zest and begin to dissolve. Once the syrup has formed, add the apples and cook until all the cooking liquid has been absorbed.

Our apples will therefore have to caramelize.

Take a baking sheet and unroll the first sheet of puff pastry. Prick it lightly with a fork.

Spread the sugared apples on top. Cover them with the second sheet of puff pastry (also prick it with a fork).

Using a pastry cutter, make horizontal and vertical cuts, quilt-like, to create the fun shape you want. Brush the entire surface with milk and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30 minutes.

Once cooked, let it cool and decorate with icing sugar.
