Cooking: oven, 180° for 60 minutes.

  • Instruments
  • a 20 cm chiffon cake mold
  • two bowls
  • a whip
  • a spoon
  • Ingredients
  • 10 tablespoons of cake flour
  • 2 bodies
  • 160 g of granulated sugar
  • filtered organic lemon juice to taste
  • 80 ml of sunflower seed oil
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 5 organic eggs
  • 110 g of apple juice
  • a teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • a sachet of vanilla baking powder
  • lemon-flavored icing sugar to taste
  • an edible flower for decoration (optional)

Apple Chiffon Cake, procedure

Dry the washed apples, peel them, and cut them into slices. Place them in a bowl with the lemon juice, cinnamon, and a tablespoon of flour. In a second bowl, combine the sugar, sifted flour, and baking powder. Stir in the apple juice, oil, and egg yolks, one at a time. Finally, fold in the apples and then the egg whites, beaten with the cream of tartar, and transfer the mixture to a 20 cm chiffon cake pan. Bake immediately at 180°C (350°F) for 60 minutes.

Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and immediately invert the pan so it can cool upside down. Once the required time has passed, remove the chiffon cake from the oven, dust it with lemon-infused powdered sugar, and decorate with an edible flower before serving.
