Intensely chocolatey cake with plums
This richly chocolatey plum cake is a simple and delicious cake with September fruit. I deviated from the classic recipe and instead of a traditional plum cake, I decided to bake a richly chocolatey plum cake with brown sugar!

Preparation of a rich chocolate cake with plums:
Step 1. Line the bottom of a 24 cm springform pan with baking paper. Grease the sides and dust with flour. Preheat the oven to 170°C.
Step 2 Wash the plums, cut them in half and remove the pits.
Step 3 Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and mix thoroughly.
Step 4 Sift the flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder and gradually add them to the creamed butter and sugar mixture. Mix until combined.
Step 5 Mix 50 g of chopped chocolate into the dough and transfer it to the cake tin.
Step 6 Arrange the plums on top, gently pressing them in. Sprinkle with brown sugar.
Step 7: Place the cake in the preheated oven and bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. While the cake is still warm, sprinkle with the remaining dark chocolate and set aside to cool.
Marta recommends the Wilton Cake and Cookie Cooling Rack, which allows cakes to cool faster and evenly, preventing them from getting soggy. The non-stick coating prevents the cake from sticking. A great gadget for your kitchen!
