Sydney Beer Week 2026 EOI Now Open

Expressions of interest now open for venues and brewers to join Sydney Beer Week 2026 program.

“It sparks conversations, builds new relationships between brewers and venues, and gives drinkers something genuinely different to explore across the city.”

Expressions of interest are now open for Sydney Beer Week 2026, with the city-wide celebration of Australian beer set to return from 16–25 October for its biggest program yet.

Now in its third year, Sydney Beer Week has quickly established itself as a key moment on the industry calendar, bringing together brewers, venues, retailers and beer lovers for 10 days of collaboration, creativity and connection. Following two successful years, the 2026 program is expanding further, with organisers calling on venues and breweries to get involved early.

“Sydney Beer Week has always been about bringing people together,” said Peter Anstey, Director of Sydney Beer Week.

“Each year the energy, creativity, and willingness of venues and brewers to collaborate has blown us away. In 2026, we’re expanding the program, leaning even harder into community, and creating more moments where people can genuinely connect over great beer.”

From tap takeovers and brewers’ dinners to one-off collaborations and unique consumer experiences, the event will once again put Australian beer front and centre across Sydney’s hospitality landscape.

Beer & Brewer Awards night returns

A major highlight of the week will be the return of the Beer & Brewer Awards, presented live in collaboration with Sydney Beer Week.

Taking place on 20 October, the awards will bring together growers, suppliers, brewers, venues, retailers and industry supporters to celebrate excellence across the beer ecosystem. Further details, including venue and ticketing, will be announced in the coming months.

State of Brews expands discovery

Also returning in 2026 is State of Brews, a city-wide activation encouraging venues to showcase beers from a nominated Australian state or international region.

Launching on 16 October and running until kegs run dry, the initiative will see venues pouring beers from across NSW, Victoria, WA, Queensland, the Territories, SA, Tasmania, and international regions including New Zealand.

“State of Brews is all about discovery,” Anstey said. “It sparks conversations, builds new relationships between brewers and venues, and gives drinkers something genuinely different to explore across the city.”

Venues can register their participation via the Expressions of Interest form, with consumer-facing details to be released closer to launch.

Pro-Am collaboration continues

The Pro-Am will return for its third year as one of the week’s most collaborative and anticipated events, supported by Yakima Chief Hops and Cryer Malt.

Bridging grassroots creativity with professional brewing, the initiative invites home brewers to submit beers judged alongside participating commercial breweries. Winning beers are then brewed at scale and showcased at a final judging event, voted on by both industry and consumers.

Focus on community

As the industry continues to navigate evolving challenges, Sydney Beer Week remains focused on celebrating what matters most: community, collaboration and innovation.

“There’s still so much to celebrate,” Anstey said. “Sydney Beer Week exists to shine a light on the wins – big and small – and to remind everyone why this industry is worth showing up for.”
