Minute-length neck with a waiting period of 3 days

A juicy piece of meat always looks great on a plate. If you know the tricks of how to prepare it well, you can make do with simple seasonings so as not to overpower the taste of the meat. Pork neck marinated for three days in oil with basil will fulfill your dreams of a great meal.

Ingredients · Servings 4
  • 4 slices of pork neck
  • 1 pinch of dried basil
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • ground pepper
Method · 20 min
  1. Lightly pound the pork neck slices, season with salt and pepper. In a bowl, mix olive oil with dried basil and rub the mixture over the meat on both sides.
  2. Place the seasoned slices in a sealable container and let them marinate in the refrigerator for 3 days.
  3. After three days, remove the meat from the refrigerator. Heat a frying pan or grill thoroughly and place the marinated slices on it. Sear them briskly for about 5 minutes on each side, until they are cooked through inside.
  4. Serve the finished pork neck immediately, preferably with mashed potatoes or fresh bread.
