Six places to celebrate Father's Day

This year, Father's Day arrives accompanied by soccer fever, one of the passions that most unites Mexican families. Therefore, various restaurants and culinary ventures have prepared experiences so that fans can enjoy not only a great game but also a special moment with Dad.

Between themed promotions, World Cup activities, grilling courses, and gifts for dad, these are some options to celebrate Father's Day this season.

Carolo Group

Grupo Carolo will celebrate fathers with various complimentary offers at its restaurants. At Aromas, diners will receive traditional mustache-shaped cookies accompanied by complimentary cigars. Casa Ó will give away cigars, while Cachava, Emilio, Blanco Castelar, and Blanco Colima will offer mini bottles of Maestro Dobel for families to enjoy together.

In addition, the group is joining in the World Cup excitement with various activations in its restaurants, including special menus, seasonal suggestions, themed activities, and decorative elements so that fans can enjoy each match in a festive atmosphere.

Los Panchos

To celebrate Father's Day, Los Panchos invites you to celebrate Dad at one of Mexico City's most iconic restaurants. With over eight decades of history, the brand offers a variety of experiences to enjoy all the excitement of the World Cup.

Throughout the soccer season, diners can enjoy special editions of Cobriza craft beers: Chilenita and Cascarita; as well as two seasonal tacos: Chamorro and Rib Eye, available at both the Anzures location and El Palacio de Hierro stores. Special tricolor margaritas are also available.

In addition, Los Panchos will offer tequila and mezcal tastings served on a small soccer field, an ideal treat for dads who love sports. And what better way to enjoy it than with the special Cascarita and Chile-nita menus, each featuring four to five courses with chicharrón and guacamole, classic mole de olla, and options like carnitas tacos, petroleras, or flautas ahogadas.

Castilian Group

The restaurants Vega, Centro Castellano and Torre de Castilla will turn each match into an opportunity to celebrate dad and win with their World Cup pools.

In both the daily football pools and the Gran Quiniela Castellano, football-loving foodies can test their knowledge by predicting scores, results, and key moments of each match. And as the World Cup nears its end, they'll also have the chance to predict the semifinalists, finalists, and the winning team.

The prizes include restaurant vouchers worth up to 10,000 pesos, perfect for surprising Dad, as well as discounts and special benefits for the winners.

Fritter

The Buñuelo bakery, owned by Ariana, Carlos and Julio González, will celebrate Father's Day and the football season with a dessert inspired by the three host countries of the 2026 World Cup.

This is a trio of mini ice cream sandwiches made with their traditional piloncillo piggy cookie, filled with vanilla ice cream, cookies and cream and maple walnut, representing Mexico, the United States and Canada, respectively.

In addition, it will feature seasonal dishes to take away or pre-order, including a Cold brew with coffee liqueur and atole foam, as well as a Sourdough Toast with ricotta foam, gastrique (sauce) of árbol chili and cherry tomato, avocado cream and kosho, a traditional spicy paste from Japanese cuisine.

TORI

Ideal for parents who enjoy discovering new flavors and restaurants, TORI is the perfect choice to celebrate this special day.

Tori Tori Temístocles has evolved into TORI, a new concept that maintains its Japanese culinary roots but with a freer, fresher, and more contemporary interpretation. Located in the building designed by Michel Rojkind and recently renovated, the restaurant unveils a new gastronomic offering under the direction of Marcelo Hisaki.

Unlike Tori Tori's traditional approach, TORI embraces a more creatively free style of Japanese cuisine, where fresh ingredients, seasonal produce, and local flavors are presented alongside Japanese techniques. The result is an experience that prioritizes flavor, quality ingredients, and satisfying cravings, while remaining true to its roots.

Soter

For those who want to try something out of the ordinary and give memorable moments this Father's Day, Sotero, in Pachuca, offers a series of experiences designed to celebrate in a different way.

On Saturday, June 20th, a grilling course will be held, taught by Chef Aquiles Chávez, where participants can learn techniques and secrets of cooking over an open fire from 12:00 to 5:00 pm. The experience costs $2,600 per person and space is limited.

On Sunday, June 21, the restaurant will offer a special brunch from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, followed by a Father's Day lunch with a wine pairing menu for $1,200 per person. Both experiences are available by reservation only.

Whether it's watching the game on a screen, sharing a good meal, or learning new culinary techniques, these suggestions aim to celebrate dads in a season that promises a winning atmosphere both on and off the field.
