Wide noodles with cabbage and farm bacon

The tastier the bacon and the more tender the pointed cabbage, the tastier the dish. You only need to lightly fry the cabbage.

Ingredients · Servings
  • wide noodles
  • cabbage, crisp
  • bacon, farm-raised
  • butter
  • salt
  • coarsely ground black pepper
Method · 35 min
  1. I boil salted water for the noodles and immediately start cutting the bacon into smaller cubes.
  2. I add the noodles to the boiling water and cook until al dente.
  3. I melt a piece of regular butter (delicious taste) in a deep pan and then fry the bacon on it.
  4. When the bacon is browned, I add the chopped cabbage (I cut the centers out of the leaves) and simmer it slowly. The cabbage will reduce in volume considerably. After about 10 minutes, the cabbage is ready, pleasantly crispy.
  5. I drain the noodles through a colander and mix them into the cabbage and bacon. I put them on a plate and sprinkle with coarse pepper. It's good. At least I like it a lot.
