Meat loaf with mushrooms

I present to your attention a very tasty meat loaf, which can be an excellent alternative to store-bought sausage.

Ingredients · Servings 10–12
  • 300 g beef fillet
  • 300 g pork fillet
  • 300 ml of milk
  • 100 g loaf
  • 300 g of champignons
  • 30 g dried porcini mushrooms
  • 150 g onion
  • salt
  • pepper
  • vegetable oil
Method
  1. Pour hot water over the dried mushrooms and leave for 30 minutes.
  2. Soak the loaf in milk.
  3. Place the pork and beef, cut into small pieces, into a blender.
  4. Grind.
  5. Finely chop the onion.
  6. Finely chop the champignons.
  7. Drain the dried mushrooms and chop finely.
  8. Fry the onion in vegetable oil.
  9. Add porcini mushrooms.
  10. Add mushrooms.
  11. Add salt and pepper. Fry for 20 minutes. Cool.
  12. Squeeze the loaf. Add to the meat.
  13. Mix.
  14. Add mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper. Stir.
  15. Place in a mold (I used a 25x10 mold with a height of 7 cm).
  16. Cover with foil. Place in the oven. Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 1 hour.
  17. Cool the finished loaf. Slice.

The loaf turns out very tender, juicy, and aromatic.

I recommend grinding the meat in a blender, not a meat grinder, as this will result in a more uniform consistency of the finished loaf.

Flavors can be changed by adding different ingredients (olives, bell peppers, various spices, herbs).

You don't have to add dried mushrooms, but they make the dish very flavorful.

I used pork and beef, but you can try using chicken fillet (preferably from the thighs, it’s juicier) or turkey.

The specified amount of ingredients makes 10–12 servings.

Place in a mold (I used a mold measuring 25x10 and 7 cm high).

Bon appetit!
