Puff pastries with chocolate and shaped like a rabbit

These puff pastries are a delight! They're shaped like bunnies and are so fun to share with children. Their shape makes them a perfect Easter treat, but they're so unique and popular that you can enjoy them any time of year.

Ingredients · Servings 12
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 jar of chocolate cream
  • 260 g of sugar
  • 300 ml of very cold whipped cream
Method · 12 min
  1. We spread the puff pastry dough on baking paper and on top of a tray that can go in the oven.
  2. We spread the chocolate cream over half of the surface. The other half will be used to cover the spread. A tip: if the chocolate cream is too thick, you can microwave it for a few minutes at low to medium power to soften it.
  3. Fold half of the puff pastry over and press it in tightly so that all the edges meet. Seal the edges with a sharp fork.
  4. Sprinkle the surface with sugar and cut strips of puff pastry. Take one of the strips, fold it in half and intertwine them, making the two ends point upwards, forming the shape of ears.
  5. We preheat the oven to 200º with heat above and below.
  6. We put the puff pastries in the oven and let them bake for about 12 minutes. When they're ready, we take them out and let them cool.
  7. We prepare 300g of very cold whipping cream and add 60g of sugar. We whip it using a whisk and a hand mixer. We beat it for several minutes until it thickens. We put it in a piping bag with a large, star-shaped nozzle and decorate the puff pastries.

It's very easy to prepare, as puff pastry can be bought ready-made in any store or supermarket. Then you fill it, shape it, and you can enjoy this sweet treat once it's baked.

Finally, it's topped with a dollop of whipped cream, mimicking the rabbit's tail, which adds extra moisture to this dessert. If you'd like to see another recipe with a similar theme, check out these carrot-shaped puff pastries.
