Milk with banana - Pilar Hernández's Chilean Kitchen

The other day, when I posted the recipe for Berliners, someone mentioned that they used to eat them with banana milk when they got home from school. It brought back so many memories.

This is an ideal use for very ripe bananas that need to be used soon. If you're short on time or don't have milk, you can freeze the bananas, and then when you make the milk, they'll turn into a granita-like consistency.

These milks are clearly the forerunners of the smoothies that are so popular now. Of course, they're not usually that simple; they generally include or are made with yogurt and other fruits, but banana is always perfect for adding consistency.

Description

2 cups of cold milk, I used skimmed milk

1 banana

½ cup of ice

2 teaspoons of sugar
