Peanut butter dessert sushi
Original and bursting with flavor, these peanut butter dessert sushi will be a hit at the dessert table! Cooked sushi rice, flavored with coconut milk and maple syrup, forms a sweet and fluffy base. Spread the rice on two large tortillas coated with peanut butter, then top with bananas and strawberries.
Ingredients
- 250 ml (1 cup) of cooked sushi rice, lukewarm
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) of coconut milk
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) of maple syrup
- 2 large tortillas
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) of creamy peanut butter
- 2 bananas
- 8 sliced strawberries
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) of melted 70% dark chocolate or salted caramel
Steps
- In a bowl, mix the cooked rice with the coconut milk and maple syrup.
- Spread half of the peanut butter on each tortilla, leaving a 1 cm (1/2 in) border.
- Spread the sweet rice in a thin layer over the peanut butter.
- Place a banana and a few slices of strawberries on the bottom edge of each tortilla. Roll tightly to form a cylinder.
- Slice each roll into 2 cm (3/4 in) rounds.
- When ready to serve, drizzle the sushi with a little melted chocolate or salted caramel.
