Taco-style sausage croissants
Serves 12
6 hot dog sausages cut in half
Sour cream 125 ml (1/2 cup)
Also plan for:
1 egg yolk
Optional:
30 ml (2 tbsp) chopped fresh coriander
Steps
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Unroll the sausage roll, then separate the squares of dough along the dotted lines. Cut each square of dough in half.
Sprinkle half of the taco seasoning over the pieces of dough. If desired, garnish with coriander.
Place a piece of cheese and a piece of sausage on each piece of dough. Wrap the dough around the sausage.
Place the sausage croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, seam underneath.
In a small bowl, beat the egg yolk with a little water and the remaining taco seasonings. Brush the dough with the egg yolk mixture.
Bake the sausage croissants in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
Serve the sausage croissants with sour cream.
Mango Salsa
In a bowl, mix 1 diced tomato with 1/2 a small diced red onion and 1/4 of a peeled and diced mango.
